Our team have secured £23.7m for a child who was seriously injured in Road Traffic Accident

The High Court in Manchester has approved the settlement of our client’s serious injury claim in the sum of £23.7m.

Our client was injured in a Road Traffic Accident at the age of 3 and sustained catastrophic, life limiting injuries. He suffered a brain injury and lost the power of speech as well the ability to walk more than a few steps.

The claimant’s mother approached us because of our experience dealing with seriously injured claimants and we immediately set about assessing the claimant’s rehabilitation needs and presenting our client’s case to the defendant’s insurance company. Liability was admitted at a relatively early stage which meant that we were able to work consensually with the defendant’s insurance company in the best interests of our client.

We assembled a team of national leading experts to prepare comprehensive medical evidence, to provide care and to support the family with their day-to-day needs. We also instructed nationally recognised leading barristers to ensure the claimant’s case was thorough and that we maximised the level of compensation available – the leading barrister in the case was Mr Gerard Martin KC of Exchange Chambers, who commented:
